The majority of default products have a similar layout as below:
The menu bar (explained in detail below) remains the same whatever product is selected, whereas the other parts of the page vary with the product selected and are explained in the individual product documentation or dashboard setup pages.
For information on dashboards, how they vary from products, and how to create/edit/use them, see here.
The menu bar will typically look similar to below, but changes in appearance when a dashboard (not product) is selected.
For example, this panel will show notifications of new model runs arriving and new blog/briefing posts. In addition to the list of notifications in this panel, desktop notifications will appear in the bottom-right of the screen at the relevant time if this feature is enabled on your internet browser. When enabled, there was also be an option to turn desktop notifications on/off at the top of the panel. Click the cross in the top-right of the panel to close it.
Toggle Favourite
Add or remove the favourite tag on the current product or dashboard. The button will be highlighted in purple/white when the product/dashboard is a favourite. Once selected, a shortcut will be added to the favourites bar (see menu bar item 2).
Product/dashboard options
Here, the name of the currently selected product or dashboard is displayed, along with a selection of further options. The options available depend on whether a product or dashboard is selected, and whether a dashboard is being viewed or edited. For information on the available options when a dashboard is selected, see the dashboard information page here.
When a product is selected, there are two options: a) to reset the page, and b) to duplicate a product. This second option is a quick way of creating a user-editable version of a product, by effectively creating a dashboard copy it, allowing the user to define the default view/models/area/parameters etc. Make the desired changes to the product before selecting the duplicate option to enter the saving process.
A dropdown menu with further options, mainly relating to administration of your account and products/favourites. Here you will also find options to logout, find help, and report a bug.
The options available in this menu will vary depending on the features you have enabled on your account.
For example, there is an option for User Administration in super-user accounts.
An icon-based page showing all available product and created dashboards. Those marked as favourites are shown towards the top of the page, while others are further down. Within this page the user can add/remove favourites as well as rearrange them.
